Deputy County Attorney I (Full-time or Part-time)
Pay Level: 10, Status: Exempt

Minimum education/experience required: Applicants must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Must have a license to practice law in the State of Kansas and maintain license throughout employment.

Position is appointed by and under the supervision of the County Attorney. Position involves various legal duties and responsibilities as provided by Kansas Law and a prescribed by County Attorney. Responsibilities include the preparation and prosecution of traffic cases, mental commitment cases, and other cases assigned. Position is a salaried position. An office and support staff are provided in the courthouse. Regular office hours are expected to be kept and there will be some after hours work.
