Drug Prosecutor – Crawford County
The Crawford County Attorney’s Office and the City of Pittsburg, Kansas are seeking a highly motivated individual to represent the State of Kansas in prosecuting felony drug cases investigated by the Pittsburg Police Department.
The individual selected to fill this position will perform duties to include, but not limited to: review and file felony drug cases, research legal issues, draft motions, responses and appear in court for all phases of the case from first appearance through jury trial.
The position will be based in Girard with occasional dockets in Pittsburg. Successful candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, be admitted to the practice of law and be in good standing in the State of Kansas.
Prior experience as a prosecutor or criminal defense is preferred but not required. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a generous benefit package.
