COWLEY COUNTY – Deputy County Attorney

The Office of the Cowley County Attorney in Winfield, Kansas, has an opening for a full-time Deputy County Attorney.  Duties will include prosecution of criminal, traffic, juvenile, and care and treatment cases, as well as other office duties as assigned. The right candidate should understand the importance of communicating with victims, witnesses, law enforcement, and defense attorneys.  In time, the opportunity for appellate work is also a possibility for the right candidate.

Applicants must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Kansas or able to obtain a license within a reasonable amount of time.  Three years of prosecution experience is preferred, but recent graduates will also be considered.  The salary range in our office for the job of Deputy County Attorney begins at $80,000.00 annually.  Salary comes with benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and other insurance options.  Background check is required.  Send cover letter and resume by email to Larry R.
